Vandalism is a concern

The BOB observes an increase in damages caused by graffiti and vandalism. Again and again ticketing machines, ticket validators and our trains are targeted at. The BOB spends around 250,000 Euro per year for the repair of demolitions. Especially trains have become major targets. Unfortunately damages to the toilet systems, scratched windows or slashed seats have become routine in daily operations. Especially damaged toilets require a longer service stop in the maintenance facility.

Ticketing machines and ticket validators often are daubed by the use of permanent markers and glues. Touch screens become demolished. The window of one of our customer centres became smashed. In Holzkirchen too our employees in the morning found a window damaged.

The BOB pursuits all damages. Persons causing damages are held liable. The BOB is asking witnesses for help. If ever you observe an intentional demolition please inform immediately one of our employees or call us under phone 08092 997171 (Mon – Fri: 08:15 – 12:00 a.m. und 12:30 – 5:45 Uhr p.m. Sat/Son/public holidays: 08:15 – 12:00 a.m.) You also can report your observation to the next police station.

Thank you very much!
