Today the depot disposes of four indoor tracks with a length of 60 metres each. All tracks have working pits available over their full length. Highly qualified staff and two warehouses for spares with 800 m² each guarantee a quick turnaround.
The new building is 75 metres long and 35 metres wide. Attached to the workshop is the administration building including smaller workshops, warehouses and a break room.
Working pits are built from concrete with side pockets that allow for underfloor maintenance activities to Integrals and other trains. Built into these pits are drainage systems that direct all relevant fluids like water, fresh oil and waste oil to the point of use. This minimises traffic time for maintenance personnel.
Thanks to working platforms that long a complete traction unit service to the roof and roof top aggregates is made easy. A special feed motion system minimises the gap between platform and traction unit and thereby the risk of accidents.
Two gantry cranes with a workload of 15 tons each enable the execution of all kinds of repair and maintenance jobs. A lifting jack with a workload of 12 times 16 tons allows for the change of wheels or drives not only on traction units but also on heavy cargo engines.
In a working pit bogie exchange is made easy and cost saving.
Outdoor facilities are offering plenty of space for goods inward and the parking of railcars. In order to protect the environment rainwater from roofs and the yard area is drained back to the soil in a couple of seepage facilities.
