Offerings and services
Besides routine checks and maintenance on different types of rail cars the performance profile of the depot includes also the repair of accidents.
In addition general inspections according to chapter 32 of the German Railway Executive Order are carried out.
Maintenance and repair are done on Integral and TALENT trains of the BOB, on cargo engines of the Bayerische CargoBahn (BCB) and, on a contract basis, also on railcars from other railway companies.
The depot also has become a competence centre for the digital train radio GSM-R.
Mobile Unit for the Rerailing of Traction Units and Engines
For the rerailing of railcars after accidents the depot provides a mobile rerailing unit that can be deployed rapidly. A well trained team is on call around the clock.
A truck with an in built workshop for repair on the spot is available too.
Since September 2004 the General inspections according to chapter 32 of the German Railway Executive Order are carried out on all Integral trains. Within the scope of the inspection all critical components like bogies, power units, brake systems and hydraulic systems are checked and worked up. In total a checklist consisting of 200 pages is processed. In addition some updates are built into the trains. The number of revolutions of the power units was throttled in order to reduce fuel consumption and noise emission. For every Integral about 8 weeks are planned for the general inspection. By mid 2007 the entire Integral fleet will be done.
The depot also has carried out chapter 32 inspections to Regio Shuttles for the Wuerttembergische Eisenbahngesellschaft.
By having become a registered workshop by the German Federal Railroad Authority the depot is authorised to repair damages from accidents on traction units and engines. Our staff has obtained all certificates to carry out welding works on all railcar parts. Based on our know-how we are also promoting the repair of GRP parts.
The depot disposes of a track scale that allows for the weighing of entire traction units up to a length of 60 metres. Here Integral trains become totally charted. All overall there are six measurement points built into the tracks. Other tractions units or engines can also be charted axle by axle.
