BOB receives excellent ranking by German consumer protection organisation
The BOB is among the top flights of German commuter railway systems. In its publication from July 2003 the German consumer protection organisation Stiftung Warentest compared several companies and their performance.
The summary statement for the BOB is that “it is one of the best companies tested.” Service and passenger comfort were ranked “Good” as well as cleanness on board and passenger information on stations. Lost and found services were ranked “Excellent”. However, also room for improvement was detected. On board passenger information became ranked “Satisfactory”.
“In principle we are proud of this excellent ranking” says Heino Seeger, Managing Director of the BOB. “Who three years ago would have thought of the BOB becoming one of the best railway companies in Germany. We sincerely have to express our thanks to our highly motivated employees and their performance. We take it for granted that we will continue on working for a high performance short distance rail traffic. A critical point in this attempt is the building of new Integral trains.”
