The Integral
The integral is one of Europe’s most modern diesel traction units, designed as a 2-direction vehicle. There is a drivers cab at each end of the train, which allows fast changes of direction. The concept promotes a modular unit design consisting of traction units, a carrying unit and passenger compartments, which can be combined according to the needs of operation in single- or double-deck version.
The BOB operates 5-piece units with two traction units at each end, one carrying unit in the centre and two passenger compartments. One particular feature is the automatic central buffer coupling which enables the interchange free service of different branch lines within the network. The actively adjustable bogie automatically adjusts the positions of the axles to an optimum degree. This ensures a high riding stability and minimises the wear and tear of wheel and track. The acceleration power of the Integral is exceptionally high, thus enabling a grand reduction in travel times. It also provides a comfortable level entrance area and an open vestibule. The closed-system eco-plant toilet is easily accessible for disabled persons.
The little ones may enjoy the children’s corner, especially designed to make the stay on board as interesting as possible. In case you are interested in technical details:
